Rockband microphone won't show up on macbook?

i just got a new macbook and have been using it for about a week now to record songs with garageband using a rockband microphone. But today i pulled up garageband plugged the mic in and nothing happened. normally a little box pops up and asks if i want to use logitech microphone in garageband and i say yes and it works. but now when i plug the mic in the usb it doesnt show up anywhere on my macbook? maybe some settings are wrong?

I really like this story! Nasir Jones is mostly wrong. You do have a lot of awesome description and word choice, and that's great! However, in a couple places, it did seem like you were trying too hard. But, those places could easily be fixed, because the reason it seems like you're trying too hard is just because not all of the writing is on the same level. Your word choice and descriptions- amazing. Your grammar use and sentence structure- sub par. The only reason the word choice seems like too much is because it is better quality then the grammar you use. You have several grammar mistakes, run-on sentences, and a couple of sentence fragments. But, those are really easily fixed. Once your grammar use matches up to the amazing level of description you use, it won't seem awkward anymore and will be a really good story that I would definitely want to read on.

You definitely wanna get a program like garage band or qbase to mix the sounds together. Finally, for drums, you have a couple of options. The cheapest is to program them into something like FL Studio which you can either buy or torrent. The other option is to either by an electronic kit or buy drum mics.

Big growth spurt in man past age 20?

My friend was always tall, he was 5'10 foot at 16 and eventually got to 6'2 at age 19, everyone figured he was done growing but he has continued to defy logic and kept on growing. hes 24 now and hes grown to 6'7 and he has peach fuzz on the back of his neck, its like from the ages of 20-24 he has had a second puberty. has anyone seen such major changes in a man after the age of 20? the peach fuzz is light blond( his hair is light), its not a heavy coat but its noticeable up from the back of his collar. is it possible for him to grow even more? his parents arent tall. he played college basketball and right around that time is when he had his 2nd big growth spurt. does playing basketball in competitive atmosphere help his growth hormones kick into high gear, could he have taken a supplement to get taller? im interested in hearing what other people, if they have seen something like this and are knowledgeable about it. thanks in advance for helpful answers.

How to stop mic from picking up background noise?

I recently bought a Rode VideoMic (http://rodemic.com/microphone.php?product=VideoMic) for filming. The mic seems to pic up sounds from behind and directly to the sides of it. I want to be able to film and not have to worry about the picking up any noise made by the camera operator or any other noises coming from behind. And yes, I know that getting the mic off the camera and onto a boom is ideal, but sometimes it isn't an option. I was just wondering if there is anyway to change this? Maybe something i could make?? I originally though of some type of conic shield I could attach to the base of the mic to filter out sounds coming from those directions. I don't know if that would work, and if it could, what would be ideal to make it out of to prevent the sounds from transferring from the shield to the mic itself. Problems with my bestfriend?

If he doesn't want more than an ego boost from someone that cares about him and really wants to help--- than he should find someone else to read his stories and look at his drawings. When he's ready to accept your opinions, than you will give it to him. If he has trouble taking criticism from people that support him--- imagine how he would do as a professional writer. Why in when playing hearts is there usually one "low" player vs many high ones?

The game of hearts is a card game in which all 52 cards are divied up among 4 players and the game is won by taking the least points possible, the q of spades counting as 13 while each heart counts as 1. Usually there is one player who seems to take close to no points whereas all the other players take many points until they go over whatever the limit is set to. Isnt there some mathematical law or probability law that should not be the case? That, each player should get, on average, 25% of the points available, each person taking the queen once per 4 rounds and 4.5 hearts or so per hand, yet it doesn't work out this way at all in reality it defies the laws of probability or so it would seem. If playing to sixty, there is often a player with 0-20 points and the other players at almost sixty points a piece, I find it strange that it happens this way. I am playing a computer based version on Yahoo! hearts; thus perhaps it is the way the random number generator deals out the cards.

Why is my open office spellchecker not working?

I just got an hp pavilion g6 laptop today (like that matters) and installed Open Office 3.3.0 as my first course of action. Unfortunately, while i'm typing in a document, the spellchecker seemed to not have been working. I opened a new document, and intentionally spelled nonsense words to see if it would work then. nope, nothing. i then tried the manual spellchecker. no dice. I think i may know the reason that it's not working, and that's where my main problem lies. When i go to Tools > Options > Language Settings> Writing Aids and look at Available language modules, there is nothing listed, and the edit option is grey. Also, under user-defied dictionaries, there are four listed: soffice [all], sun [all], IgnoreAllList [all], and standard [all]. Could my problem lie with the ignorealllist one? (it wont delete, either). Could someone please help me, quickly? Thanks a ton.

I don't know what to do anymore?

I am 28 and have a 19 month old son. Me and my husband have been married for 4 years and own a house. I am sahm but lately I have been feeling really deppressed and anxious. My husband dosn't seem to understand me and I just seem to avoid him bc all he does is critisize the way I do things. Loneliness is becoming too much to handle..?

Lately, life has been working out for me pretty well and I know I could work harder to succeed but I just can't bring myself to work hard at anything or care about much anymore because of how lonely I feel. It's devastating, to say the least. I know everyone feels lonely at one point or another but this is the first time in my life where I have truly felt alone. I mean, I have maybe 2-3 friends who truly care for me and I sometimes question them because they never seem to want to talk or hang out. I am currently single and have extremely low self esteem.... So low that it would be a shock if I got into a relationship. My teeth are my biggest problem and I need to get fillings and 5 root canals, if all that goes well then it might help my self esteem but until then, I will continue hating the outside due to my facial complexion and teeth. I go outside a lot with people but I don't think they are friends, they kill time though and every time I am out I become paranoid that everyone is talking about how bad I look or something and it's become such a big deal that I am starting to naturally hate people. Random people who have done nothing to me I will scowl and yell at for being assholes. I hate being so lonely that if I am away from anyone for more than five minutes I want to break down. Do not judge me because I am lonely. I hate that my self esteem is so low that I am convinced I will never find love or even a relationship. So low that I pretty much despise the world now. I used to be very happy and loved myself. I don't know what exactly happened but it did and now loneliness along with my self esteem are taking over my life and I can't bring myself to care about anything anymore. I purposely missed 3 job interviews and delayed going to college for another semester. I wish I had enough confidence in myself to believe I was good at something.. But I know I am not. I love to write and take photos so much that I am addicted but I suck at both and so I don't have the drive to do it anymore... I think my only skill is being able to help others and I haven't even been able to do that cause of how much I hate myself and others. Helping others takes so much out of me though because I constantly feel used and walked on... It doesn't help that my girlfriend of 3 years left me. Ugh... Anyone have anything? I mean, alcohol seems like an excellent option to me. Please don't tell me that time will heal me. I know that it is true but time is what I don't have for the pain is becoming too much to handle.

I want a nose piercing?

I am twelve years old, and for my thirteenth birthday, I want a nose piercing. Just a small little stud, not a ring, I hear they get tangled easily. I tried to use audacity,using stereo mix as the input, and i unchecked "auto adjust mic and speaker settings" in skype, but when i start recording with audacity then make my call, skype says "problem with recording device". If i make my call and then start audacity, audacity says that. Ive seen articles on how to do it and they say this should work, so...Help?

Audio interface or mixer to record guitar for beginner?

So I've been playing guitar for a while now and i want to start recording. I don't know much about it so i need some help. I have a MacBook Pro and garage band is what I'm using. Ps3 Headset Question?

I was playing black ops zombies and when I joined a party i noticed that on all of the ones that had people that had mics it showed that they were talking but i couldn't hear them. What is a good make up for someone with combination/sensitive skin?

I have tried cover girl sensitive skin make up. I don't like it know cause its changed. Plus it doesn't have good coverage for me either. Its not enough. I have tried the Advanced Radiance Age-Defying Makeup. At first i liked it but i don't like it no more cause the last time i used it my face had up this burning feeling. I don't know why i felt that burning feeling when i applied the liquid foundation but i have stopped using it all together. Plus i don't like the powder foundation that goes with the Advanced Radiance Age-Defying make up cause it doesn't look right alone. You have to wear the liquid foundation with it to make it look good. I have also tried Physicians Formula Mineral Foundation Mineral Wear Makeup and well i liked it but it didn't last long at all. Plus i also used the translucent powder with it. I have even used Physicians Formula Gentle Cover Stick Concealer that didn't really work at all. And i used Physicians Formula Conceal Twin Creme Yellow/Light that didn't even cover my dark circles under my eyes. I have that cause of my allergies. The conceal cream didn't work either. Plus Physicians Formula is expensive too. I even tried Almay Smart Shade Makeup with SPF 15, Light/Medium 200 it worked but i don't remember why i stopped using it though. I have used Almay Line Smoothing Pressed Powder, Light/Medium 200. I don't remember why i stopped using it. I have ivory skin. A while back I watched a film clip on YouTube, I can bearly remember it! A all boy band, kinda emo-ish, they were wearing Leather and chains and had piercings. The singer had a mic that was hanging down and one of the guitarists was playing on a black spiderweb decorated guitar. So I put in my mic to talk on Skype and after I took my mic out my speakers wouldn't work on youtube. I tested my speakers on skype, they're still on and working, but for some reason youtube doesn't seem to be recognizing them. Any ideas as to what is going on, or how to fix it?

I think so. However, this maybe the time to do it. People say he should've turned heel at WM 27. Where I find that statement inaccurate. CM Punk can take Cena's role as top face because as we saw in WWECW and Raw in 08 he is a very talented face. I have no doubt Vince and the creative team have taken this under consideration. (Note that Vince trusted Punk to do his own thing on the mic this past Monday) Vince knows that CM Punk is actually the perfect top face beause it is a PG show and Punk is Straight Edge. Microphone not working properly?

I have Windows Vista Home Premium. Whenever I set up my mic (Control Panel -> Speech Recognition Options -> Set up microphone -> Headset microphone) the volume appears to max out immediately, even on minimal volume. Then I figured out that Sean transferred to my bus also and he got on the bus and sat next to me thumping me on the head. So my brother 19 going for 20 and he's unemployed (never had a job) and just sits at home all day and plays video games. He goes to college but my mom and dad is struggling to pay his college tuition. So please can someone please tell me how to convince him. Actually, yes. There is a program, I think it's Mac Speech or something. Can't remember exactly what it's called but it does work. You just need a headset (works much better) and then go back and proofread to fix some punctuation.

Ps3 Headset Question?

I was playing black ops zombies and when I joined a party i noticed that on all of the ones that had people that had mics it showed that they were talking but i couldn't hear them. But when I talk it does show that my mic is perceiving the sound so the problem is that i can talk and people can hear me but i cant hear them so does anybody know a way to fix this?

First id like to say i am in a relationship (albeit a dead one with no appreciation for me and its more we use each other more than anything) for 4 years. i started working at a gas station a few months ago that has a restaurant in it, and in that food joint theres is a gorgeous man. My mic stopped working?

guys i have a problem when i insert my headset to my pc the microphone works but when i enter my headphones part the microphone stops working its very weird i can hear stuff from the headset but when i take the headphones out the microphone works once more, i have tried it with a diff headset and it doesn't have the problem

Razer Carcharias with Built in Mac mic Will it work?

I recently bought the razer Carcharias and I was thinking I could hear and play better on World of Warcraft with the headset along with hearing better in vent. But I cannot get the headset to work. I'm not sure if It's cause I already got a built in mic or if there is no where to plug the mic in. Not sure if the symbol actually looks like a mic but I plugged it in. I think people got it working before I'm just not sure how to. Anyone can write in verse. It is new and fascinating but remember people will automatically be prepared to compare you with Ellen Hopkins whose 'verse' series for young adults is amazing, hard-hitting, gritty, and critically acclaimed. It was one of the most recent (and successful) of its kind in many years. I think Jabberwocky is probably the only other novel I can think of done that way and that is a book of verse. Ellen Hopkins entire series is verse.

Growth spurt possible for 24 year old man?

My friend was always tall, he was 5'10 foot at 16 and eventually got to 6'2 at age 19, everyone figured he was done growing but he has continued to defy logic and kept on growing. hes 24 now and hes grown to 6'7 and he has peach fuzz on the back of his neck, its like from the ages of 20-24 he has had a second puberty. has anyone seen such major changes in a man after the age of 20? the peach fuzz is light blond( his hair is light), its not a heavy coat but its noticeable up from the back of his collar. is it possible for him to grow even more? his parents arent tall. he played college basketball and right around that time is when he had his 2nd big growth spurt. does playing basketball in competitive atmosphere help his growth hormones kick into high gear, could he have taken a supplement to get taller? im interested in hearing what other people, if they have seen something like this and are knowledgeable about it. thanks in advance for helpful answers.

Why do child educators look down upon math and science?

So I am 13, at this assembly in school. This guy dressed as a clown comes in to teach us not to talk to strangers. He had people come up and do activities involving the arts, and the kids liked it. My best friend's in the hospital... what to expect?

So my best friend and I were dating for a month before we both mutually decided to break up... neither of us felt all that upset or anything. We were still just as close as ever. The next night he got in a severe car accident. He was driving with his sister, and the next day she ended up dying from the injuries. I was with him that night, with a group of friends, because the doctors wanted us to give him stimulation to wake up. So we were all calling for him to wake up and stuff, but he was on too many drugs to open his eyes... but we could tell he was -there- from the way he squeezed our hands and scowled in concentration. Now he's in stable condition and waking up on and off, and even shaking or nodding his head in response to questions. They're planning on taking his breathing tubes out soon, and then move him out of the ICU. His MRI results came back... he has a tear in his frontal lobe, which is the part of your brain that controls personality and stuff... So I'm just wondering what to expect. Keep in mind, he also lost his sister, and he was driving, so there's going to be alot of guilt I'd imagine. This kid is one of the strongest people I know, and we are super close, so I just want to know from people who know what they're talking about... What can I expect in the next few months?
